Balnaguard is a post-medieval settlement and field system located approximately 1900 metres south of Balnaguard proper in Perthshire, Scotland. The site comprises the remains of domestic structures and associated agricultural land use dating to the post-medieval period, reflecting the organisation of rural settlement and farming practices in the Scottish Highlands during this era. The field systems visible at the site demonstrate the intensive management of arable and pastoral land characteristic of upland agricultural communities in early modern Scotland. The settlement's location and layout provide evidence of the relationship between domestic occupation and the surrounding landscape, typical of dispersed settlement patterns found throughout Perthshire during the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries.
